Philip Ruiz is Married and is a longtime business owner. He has been active in various democratic groups for more than 25 years, and currently serves in some capacity with those same groups. He is a resident of Lockhart, TX. Currently he serves as the Chair of the Official Texas Hispanic Caucus of the TXDP. He is also a candidate for Lockhart City Council District 2.
